The simple answer is: NOTHING ... or at least not much! Collecting fees (in any form) from Employees is PROHIBITED BY THE LAW in Hungary. Therefor if any agency asking for "placement fee" or any other form of payment, they are breaking the law!

Good to know: Before You Apply

The Hungarians (Magyarok) were Christianised at the end of the 10th century, and the Christian Kingdom of Hungary was established in AD 1000. One of the oldest country in Europe.
Hungary joined the European Union in 2004 and has been part of the Schengen Area since 2007. It is a member of numerous international organisations, including the United Nations, NATO, WTO, World Bank, the AIIB, the Council of Europe, and the Visegrád Group. Despite EU membership, we do not use EURO, but our own currency, the Hungarian Forint (HUF or Ft.).

In Hungary, we speak Hungarian which is a Finno-Ugric language, member of the Uralic language family. The Hungarian name for the language is Magyar. Hungarian is one of the most difficult languages an English speaker can learn, as well as one of the most rewarding.

The capital of Hungary is Budapest, a beautiful city, very popular tourist destination.

How much it cost to get a work in Hungary?

We are not collecting placement fees. The costs, what you have to bare is listed here :

Local transportation

You have to travel within the country few times: to the interview, to the Embassy, to the Clinic and so on. This is your cost. If you are live far from Manila, try to arrange the trips the way, that you can manage more on a single trip.

Personal documents

Your cost is to have a Passport valid at least 2 years, NBI clearance and if needed, driver's license or other documents. Also to prepare the passport sizes photo.

Medicals

Most of the cases employer take care of the Medical expenses, but depend on the Employer or the company rules, you might have to bare this cost.

Beside the above mentioned there should be no other cost! Agencies are not collecting any fees from you!

Good to know: Preparing for Departure

If you are selected for the position, first have to submit your application for Residence Permit for the Purpose of Employment at the Embassy of Hungary in Manila. Don't worry our colleagues will guid you through the process and supply all the necessary documents.
What you need to present is:
- Passport valid at least 2 more years,
- 2 passport size photo (1 needed at the Embassy and the other when you arrive to Hungary!)
- valid NBI clearance.
There are other documents as well, but those we will prepare for you!
Also note, that the VISA fee is paid by us! You do not have to pay! If they asking at the Embassy, just tell to them, that the agency will pay it!

Processing of your application might take up to 80 days, so be patient! Embassy and our colleague will contact you, once your Residence Permit is approved. When you are collecting your Passport at the Embassy make sure, that the VISA is correctly issued here is a sample:

Make sure that the personal informations are correct. The validity to enter has to be at least 6 month from the date of issue and the validity of the stay should be 30 days.

Once you have your passport, our colleague will assist with the medicals and exit permits.

Important! Due the air ticket prices are changing quickly we have to buy the tickets as soon as possible. This means you might not have much time after received your exit clearance, so please be prepared to depart quickly!

Money & Banking

Opening a Bank account

Bank account is needed to receive your salary and manage your financials. Employer will help you to do so. In most cases, companies has special deal with their banks, to provide the best features on the most economic way for their employees.
Whit the bank account you going to receive a bank card (VISA or Master Card), which you can use for shopping online and offline as well. Most shops are accepting electronic payments.
We recommend to use electronic payment, to reduce the cash usage!
Also you can have online banking with the bank's dedicated application for your mobile phone.

Sending money back to Philippines

Once you have you bank account and bank card (or online banking), you can easily send money back home. However we recommend to use Transferwise, due the cost of sending money is much less, then sending via Western Union or regular Bank transfer.

To sending money with Transferwise (WISE), you need only a bank account with VISA or Master Card or electronic banking. In the Philippines, who receive the money, need to have a bank account.

Also you need to have a local mobile phone number to be able to register for WISE service!
